September 2005

We all went camping at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on September 1 - 4. We camped at site C-02 in the walk-in section of the Platte River Campground


 

July 2005

Mike and Michael attended Boy Scout Summer camp with Troop 109 at Northwoods Scout Reservation from July 10 through July 16.


Mike and Michael participated in the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree, from July 25 through August 3. Mike was a member of Jamboree Troop 1121. Michael was a staff member in the Central Region Action Center, and worked at Action Alley. Click here for a photo album of our experiences. 


 

June 2005

On June 3 - 5, Mike and Michael went camping and canoeing on the Chippewa River with Boy Scout Troop 109. We drove to Camp Weidman near Mt. Pleasant and set up camp. The next day, we rented canoes from Buckley's Mountainside Canoes and paddled down the river to our campsite. In the morning, we completed the trip and returned home. 


 

May 2005

From May 6 - 8, Mike and Michael attended the Dorchester International Brotherhood Camporee (DIBC) at Camp Bel, Ontario, Canada. 


 

March 2005

Mike and Michael went camping with Troop 109 to Yankee Springs Recreation Area from March 11 through March 13. The scouts practiced their orienteering skills. 


 

February 2005

Mike went with Boy Scout Troop 109 to the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex to ride the luge! We camped at Owasippe Scout Reservation from February 11 through February 13. 


 

January 2005

Mike and Michael went camping with Troop 109 to Camp Deer Trails from January 7 - 9. The troop visited the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum in North Higgins Lake State Park. At the museum, the scouts attended a snowshoe exhibition at the Winter Trails Day and were able to try out many different types of snowshoes. 


We visited Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD in January. We visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and toured Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Click here for a photo album of our trip.
